Michael Clark Duncan looks too old to play Cage. In my opinion Henry Simmons is a better choice.
: Precisely *because* people have different
: perceptions.
:
: Movies may use a current look, i.e. the one
: from Black Panther, Cage, H4H and so on;
: they may go with the original look; or they
: may go another way altogether, as the X-Men
: movies.
:
: Arvi Arad said he didn't do spandex in Blade
: and so on because it looked stupid to put a
: real person in an outfit like that.
:
: He might also think that, in 2006 or
: whenever, that yellow shirt looked stupid.
:
: NA and Secret War did not go with any look
: Cage ever had. Luke Cage never melted into
: the background. That's blowing it as far as
: I'm concerned.
:
: Henry Simmons would be better than Tyrese.
: I'd rather have Michael Clark Duncan. We
: know he has screen presence, that he can do
: Luke Cage's attitude, and he's a reasonable
: size at 6'5" and as heavy as 375 lbs.

: : True, but if it is just a different
: perception then how could the artist of
: "NA and Secret Wars blew it" by
: drawing him like he was drawn in the 70's
: and 80's.
: And why would you only include his history
: in the late 80's early 90's if there
: "is no reason for people who know his
: history to forget it."
: What about Henry Simmons from NYPD Blue how
: do you think he would do as cage, I agree
: that tyrese is too small for the part.

: We all have our different perceptions.

: That's what Luke Cage lukes like to me. It's
: how he looked in the 90s.
: I don't remember Luke looking like -that- in
: the 90s. He's big, yeah, but he's not a
: bodybuilder in level of cut-upped-ness.
:
: Luke Cage is not supposed to look like some
: guy. He's huge. Just because NA and Secret
: Wars blew it is no reason for people who
: know his history to forget it.
:
: What about those of us who remember his
: history back from the 70s and 80s? Luke was
: a cool cat back in the day, but he wasn't
: built like the Rhino.
:
: I agree, I looked through my collection of
: cage comics and while he has always looked
: big he has never looked like a professional
: body builder. I will concede that in the
: cage series in the '90's he did look body
: builder big but that was more the artist
: then anything, the captain and wonderman
: were both the same size as cage when they
: guest starred, wonderman even held cage up
: with one hand by the neck while standing up
: and cage was way smaller then the hulk or
: the rhino. I think Henry Simmons from NYPD
: Blue is exactly how cage should look. on one
: episode simmons character was looking for a
: kid on a basket ball court and I half
: expected him to say "What's my
: name?"
