Posted by Jonathan Three ordinary people. Three people each weighing about 160 lbs. I've seen Julius Peppers. I don't think he's close to Luke Cage in muscularity. As I've said, it should be someone 6'6" with the build of Ronnie Coleman. It won't be. Michael Clark Duncan is close. Julius Peppers is less than 300 lbs. Michael Clark Duncan has weighed almost 400. > But a film is not just Yup. > Tyrese may not be Oscar-caliber, but I have not seen Tyrese in anything I thought showed any acting ability. He was terrible in 2 Fast, 2 Furious. >especially when you consider that the I guess we'll find out. : He should look like a pro bodybuilder. They distinctly look like freaks. I think Luke is a "holy crap!" type. : Tyrese is a pretty big guy; Tyrese is 6'1" and 175 lbs. I don't call that big. > sometimes its That's what I said. He tore it off on the cover of the first book of the 90s series. If the team-up book you mean is where he's with Daredevil sort of eating lunch, I think he wore a white tank top for that. I wouldn't put any money on my memory of that one.

: As wide as three people? What three people
: are we talking about here?
:
: I think the only person with the
: "true" physique to play Luke Cage
: is Carolina Panthers DE Julius Peppers, who
: is 6'6", an All-Pro DE, and with enough
: athleticism to start for UNC on the
: basketball team.
: about matching the looks -- there has to be
: something there in the acting department,
: too.
: in the films I have seen him in, I think he
: has the necessary chops to pull of Luke Cage
: --
: Cage of this film will need to be at his
: most mercantile and unapproachably hostile.
: I think part of Luke's charm is that he is
: not as big as the Hulk. He's a big dude,
: but he's in the class that if you saw him on
: the street you'd say "That's one big
: dude" and not "Holy crap, look at
: that freak!"
: not feasible to find someone who is a
: perfect physical specimin-match and still be
: able to recite his lines with any sort of
: competence. I for one would not mind that
: casting.
:
: Luke stopped wearing the yellow shirt 16
: years ago. The first comic book cover of
: the 90s series showed him ripping it to
: pieces.
:
: Didn't his yellow shirt costume pop up again
: in the "Marvel Knights" team book?
: And he did "wear" it sorta on the
: cover of "Heroes for Hire" #1,
: even if inside he wore the white shirt.
