I am still seeking information on the family of Lawrence Walker and Johanna Hearn. I have found a couple of new bits of information that may provide a link to some other researcher out there. Lawrence married Johanna Hearn in the town of Guysborough, Nova Scotia in June 1848. Johanna was the daughter of Matthew Hearn and Alice/Eleanor? O’Connor. Children –Margaret(b.1854), Alice(b.1856), Michael(b.1858), Thomas(1860), Catherine(1861-1959)- my Great grandmother married to Redmond Keating of Mulgrave, Guysborough County, Nova Scotia-, Mary Ellen(1864), James(1866), Martha Ann(1868), Elmira M.(1873). Lawrence Walker born 1819 Ireland, wife Johanna Hearn born 1829 Nova Scotia. Appear in 1881 Census of Milford, Guysborough Co., NS. Lawrence was responsible for the Post Office in Middleton, Guysborough County when it was established in 1876 until his death 18 July 1887. Daughter Alice married Thomas Moore in 1877. This family is also in 1881 census of Milford. Alice’s sister Martha Ann living with them. I can find no information earlier or later on these famies except for Catherine. Any infomation related to these families would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
