In 1938 there were three possible courts through which the trial could have occurred: Provincial Magistrates, Guysborough County Court or the Supreme court of Nova Scotia. Supreme Court would have been held in Antigonish. Records from those courts are probably on file at the NS Archives in Halifax. You may want to check with the Guysborough Historical Society re: newspaper accounts of the accident and subsequent trial/inquiry/inquest.
