I would like to hear from anyone who is related to, or knows anything about, Samuel MacLean, born October 16, 1817, Newtown, Guysborough Co.,N.S., son of James MacLean and Elizabeth McKeen. Samuel married an Alice McTavish in North Esk,NB, 16 Feb 1832 and had one known son, Laughlin born 14 Nov 1832. Laughlin married Rebecca Mann in 1847 and they had children: Alexander, William, Alice Jane, Laughlin Murchison, Isaac Edward, Margaret Winifred and Thomas James (my grandfather) who came west in 1880-81 to Washington Territory.
