My Grand Aunt, Mahala Horton a sister of my grandfather, Freeman Horton, married John Edmund Grant on the 3rd of October, 1881 in Guysborough, Nova Scotia. According to my grandmother, Isabella Horton's memoirs they moved to Haverhill, Massachusetts. Mahala died young, possibly 1892. They had children.
