I am trying to track down a last bit of information about my 3rd great-grandfather and have not found any reference to a land grand that was supposedly given to him shortly after 1815 for his participation in the war as a Captain in the RM. The grant should have been in the Sherbrooke/Stillwater area. I am looking suggestions as to where I may be able to find this information. I have received some information from the Nova Scotia Archives but no official reference to the grant. His name would be listed as possibly Henry Elliot or Henry Elliott.
