I am researching a Baldwin family in Nova Scotia. The 4 children that I know of were born between 1830 and 1835. On the various records I have seen here in the US they recorded Sydney as their place of birth, which I believed to be the city of Sydney in Cape Bretton. I then found a death certificate for one of the family that had Guysborough on it. I then learned that there was a county of Sydney up til the late 1830s. I am at a loss now as to where to look for this family. The parents were William Baldwin and Mary Tracey both of whom immigrated from Ireland. I do not know if they came married from Ireland or met and married in Nova Scotia. Any suggestions?
