I am interested in an individual named John Shaw who appeared in a list of land grants in "Guysborough/Manchester" in 1790. Apparently he was granted 5 acres and possibly a "town lot". I believe this is the same John Shaw who appears in a list entitled "Loyalist: Assessed at Guysborough/Manchester 1804". By the time the census was taken in 1817 this John Shaw is no longer in the community.
