The music hit and The Money Maker came out of the dressing room and GCW fan Peanut let em have it! They ignored the fans and got into the ring. The amazingly, extremely, moderately expensive GCW Tron came on and "Legal Eagle" Howard C. Cross was on it, he looked like he was at his Birmingham office. He apologized for leaving the Tag Team Champs "in the Lurch", he even broke down into tears(alligator tears I bet) he then proclaimed himself a "genius" and introduced their temporary manager.
The music hit and former GCW Heavyweight and Tag Team Champion(with Theodore Tutweiler III) "Outlaw" Rastus Polk emerged from the dressing room as the crowd booed him loudly.
For those of us not familiar with Polk, the pride of Broken Arrow Oklahoma, the words "Cow Punching" this guy takes to heart. There is about 30 head of cattle on this guys ranch with a black eye! This guy is mean, he can't even go into a saloon/bar without first putting on a straight jacket. Usually in the company of his best friend, a branding iron he lovingly calls "Brandine".
The familiar music hit and the crowd stood on their feet and welcomed "The Gangster of Love" and the "Sultan of Swing" respectively, "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton and "Loverboy" Dennis Condrey the Midnight Express as they emerged from the dressing room ready for business.
The music of George Thurgood and the Destroyers "Bad to the Bone" came through the speakers and the crowd stood on their feet and cheered and clapped as "The Bullet" Bob Armstrong emerged through the curtains with Steve Armstrong hot on his heels as the crowd on hand went ballistic! He hit the ring and the crowd on hand were treated to several dance moves that looked like Michael Jackson/ Gene Kelly/and Arthur Murray combined.
The ref called for the bell and Jp Magnum got punched into the Midnight express side of the ring, and Condrey gave him a shot to the head, he turned and got a shot from the bullet to the head, before getting shot from Steve Armstrong that knocked him to the canvas. The bullet was tagged in and he turned up the heat with shots to the chest that had the crowd cheering and Magnum wishing he was in the hospital.
Our good friend Polk interjected himself by grabbing the leg of Armstrong, in which the ref gave him the what for. That gave Tutweiler the upper hand temporarilly till Eaton tagged in and took control of the match by running the head of Tutweiler into the ropes and using the tag tactics that made the Midnight express famous.
At one point, Polk got on the apron and distracted the referee, with the ref tied up he tossed Cross's metal suitcase to Magnum who missed it and Steve Armstrong caught it. He swung for the fences and sent Magnum to dreamland. He tossed the briefcase out and got the 3 for his team as the crowd went wild!
After the match, The bullet grabbed the stick and announced that he and Steve would return on the 26th show and indeed face any and all commers as they would sign an OPEN contract for all tag teams. As the show drew to a close!
