The music hit and Voodoo Master Mudbone exited the locker room with Howard C. Cross bringing up the rear. His usual ritual of making no less than 10 children in attendance run for cover and shake continued( I hope and pray the Psychiatrist in Pell City are ready). He hit the ring and was ready for action. The crowd booed somewhat, but I think most of them were fearful of waking up a toad the next morning.
The music hit and "Wrestling Hybrid" Orion Bishop appeared from behind the curtain with an unidentified man in tow. He hit the ring and Mudbone and Cross ran for the cheap seats. He grabbed the stick and introduced the man as his DAD, I forget his name at this time but the name "Stonewall" stuck with me. He said how proud he was of his dad and how he raised the Wrestler that the crowd sees today.
Cross ordered that "Stonewall" be removed from the ring and ringside because he was not a manager as the crowd booed loudly! Reluctantly, Layne obeyed and he and "Stonewall returned to the dressing room area.
The match started and Bishop got the upper hand, prehaps fueled by his dad being banned from ringside. Mudbone went to the power play and matched the moves displayed. He went for the pin but only got two for his troubles. Bishop fought back and Powerslamed the Voodoo master to China as Cross was beside himself. The doors opened up and Layne and Stonewall returned to ringside. Layne grabbed the stick and informed a dejected Cross that Stonewall was in fact granted manager status by his office for one night! Cross read the letter and threw a temper tantrum,he threatened to hit Stonewall and that caught the attention of Bishop who forgot about the match. As the ref and Bishop looked on at the argument ensuing on the floor, Mudbone went into his jacket and produced a "fireball" shot that singed the back of Bishop! Bishop turned around and gored the mystic out of his boots as the crowd went wild! He pinned Mudbone and got the 3,but from the impact of the gore the ref could have counted to 100 and it would have made no difference as the Voodo Master remained motionless. Bishop ,Layne, Stonewall and the ref returned to the dressing room to celebrate, while Mudbone shoved his legal advisor so hard he nearly hit the floor before he returned to the dressing room.
As much as it pains me, I feel sorry for Cross, bear with me on this one. Cross is a very intelligent manager and his stable contains some of the greatest wrestlers in the GCW. However, his deals are going sour by the minute, and I don't think the Tidy Bowl Man can keep him from going down the drain.
