Kayfabe wasn't always the greatest thing. There were many times when a heel wrestler was attacked by a fan and severely injured. A fan once threw acid on Freddie Blassie. Ole Anderson had to have sixty stitches on his abdomen when a fan tried to disembowel him and Roddy Piper was stabbed on at least three occasions. As far as wrestlers turning matches into spotfests, that has nothing to do with kayfabe and more to do with not being able to tell a good story in a match. Kayfabe is dead and will never come back. Even if someone tried to bring it back, it wouldn't be taken seriously by most fans. As for not being a fan of mainstream wrestling is concerned, I respect your choice. I have been disgusted with WWE and TNA at times myself. I still watch both, but I would not make anyone elses choices for them, even if I could. I will try to make it to the show on the 10th and hope to see you there.
