In the criminal code it is a generic term to refer to all those crimes. Ther is a steict meaning and an extended meaning.
Thank you Steven.
The portuguese language has a word for each.
I gave you the Parricidio, Matricidio and Uxoricidio.
Maritricidio, when a woman hills her husband.
Infanticidio, when someone kills a child, either his/her son/daughter or any other children.
Feminicidio, a neologism, when someone only "specializes" in killing women.
And, of course, the broader Homicidio and Genocidio.
But I looked up and the word Uxoricida exists in spanish.
The portuguese penal code does not qualify individually the crime of Uxoricide (nor Maritricide), just refers that murdering one's ascendants, descendants, wife/husband or partners are crimes that "are susceptible of special degree of censorship".
José, the English translation I got:
Parricidio
"Crime that consists of killing a family member, especially the father, the mother, a child or the spouse."
