None of the reports includes the detail that the Urachs renounced any claim albeit after Charlotte, the daughter of Louis II, had been declare legitimate
Princess Florestine of Monaco's elder son Duke Wilhelm Karl of Urach renounced his Monegasque succession rights in 1924 - but surely such a renunciation of a future inheritance was of no legal value either in French or Monegasque law. (?)
In addition, in 1924 there were a number of other Monegasque dynasts including Wilhelm Karl's adult children and several grandchildren (including a few Liechtenstein princes). Surely even if Wilhelm Karl could validly renounce a future inheritance for himself, he could not do so for the rest of his family. (?)
