ELECTION UK Spanish State Visit will still go ahead?

How strange, just after the UK gov announced it would. Normally the Queen is not usually in LONDON then. It seems this initiative has come from the Spanish side because one of the purported reasons is that Parliament will have been dissolved for the election. But with these new dates if indeed a criteria is to have the visit while Parliament is sitting, the government will have had to have the state opening and Queen's speech before. Normally theQueen goes to Edinburgh the week before, the first week in July. Buckingham Palace opens on the 22nd July and the Parliamentary recess begins in the 20th. It looks as though these will be some very busy weeks.
