Was Alfonso XIII the son of his parents ?
According to this thread the postumous son of Alfonso XII could have been another girl, named Isabel Cristina after her grand-mothers.
Due to the political crisis emerging from the fact that Alfonso XII left no sons, the Queen and the Ministers that attended the royal birth decided to replace the little Infanta by the son of a ... gipsy, therefore the dark looks of Alfonso XIII when compared to A. XII.
All those present in the Royal bedroom sworn secrecy and the new born "Infante" was acknowledged as King from the date of his birth.
Has this story ever appeared in Spain ?
