We have recently (again) discussed about the Queen's memoirs with the controversial comments about different topics. Well, the author will publish soon a kind of epilogue, where she explains the "making of".
She reveals how the interviews took place. She also writes about some topics the Queen refused to talk about, mainly political ones, including Irak, Guantanamo or the law on the historical memory (a polemic law in Spain about victims of the civil war and Franco's regime).
She also sent a questionnaire with questions for the Prince and the Infantas, but they were not answered.
After the publication of the book, Moncloa (ie, the PM's office) was not happy with the Queen's controversial comments and "forced" Zarzuela to issue a communique stating that the author had manipulated some private confidences between the Queen and the author. But the author has written this book to justify herself and show the people how the book was written. The epilogue includes e-mails exchanged between the author and Zarzuela. So, a new polemic for this Fall.
I will buy it. For sure.
