Its coming from the top down though….

Ultimately it is the King of Spain who is responsible for such developments, these aren’t paparazzi media hounding royals at private events but representatives from leading media and television outlets who on encountering the King of Spain in the middle of the Grand Prix and are confident he will speak to them.

I was quite surprised he wasn’t kept in a special royal enclosure but perhaps he likes to be in the thick of the action, ultimately the King has set the precedent and seems happy to continue with it, even if it is somewhat strange to see the head of probably the most illustrious royal dynasty still reigning today being interviewed on a racing track and hanging out like a celebrity.
