I just heard that the Sheriff and two Captains attended an annexation meeting near Platte City. They said that we run 9 (NINE) patrol deputies per shift (and had charts showing this). Oh my god what a lie. For the past month I havent seen more than three on one shift and usually we run two and have run only one at times. This sounds criminal to lie to citizens that are trying to make an educated decision on if they wish to vote for or against annexation. It is the Sheriff's obligation and sworn duty to give them the true facts. We have a written policy stating that lies like this are not permitted. This is criminal. Politician=lier? Sheriff=Politician
