Are the Hapsburgs related in any ways with former reigning houses in Italy and southern Europe. Any elsewhere?
My phone glitched out and I accidentally sent another message (with my own name spelled incorrectly!).
All European royal families are related (except for Montenegro) because they have Frederick I, Margrave of Brandenburg-Ansbach and Sophia Jagiellon, Princess of Poland as their most recent common ancestors.
Of course, various clusters will be more closely related on religious grounds, etc. I also want to add that there is no such thing as an “archduke of Habsburg”, Habsburg only very lately figured into the civil names of members of this family.
