According to Marlene Koenig, Ernst August sr. does not approve of his son's marriage. It seems that he has requested some property back that he signed over to his son (for tax-reasons?) some 10 years ago.
I was wondering, does the position of senior regarding this marriage have any implications as to who will be the future chef de la Maison? Might that be transferred to the younger son Christian?
Clearly there is no necessity for the Hannover-heir to marry a fellow-noble (or royal) as Ernst August sr. married a commoner as his first wife so it is a different situation as the cases of Prussia and Leiningen.
Does anyone know if there will be consequences for the younger Ernst-August based on his father disapproving of the marriage?
