Indeed a sad moment. Impact yes, but I guess it would have ended quite drastically anyhow. The old world was coming to an end. There was really no sign of democratization or less nationalistic or militaristic propaganda from the ruling classes or the rulers of the era. I would very much have appreciated the survival of theese monarchies but one canīt excuse their own behaviour
