When I was in Boston last week visiting the Museum of Fine Arts, I came across gallery 208 where Gerrit Honthorst's magnificent (and huge) Allegory of Justice is currently being restored. The painting shows Elizabeth, Electress Palatine, with her children and dead husband.
It was my understanding that this painting belonged to Prince Ernst August of Hannover. I do not know if there is more than one version. The painting being restored in Boston was sold in London several years ago and is on loan to the Museum of Fine Arts.
