How was the King introduced to the paliament? What is his "legal" status in Romania: King, former King, Michai Hohenzollern,...?

: I'm sure many, if not most, Romanians
: know who the King's eldest child and heir
: is. The others are not public figures and do
: not try to make themselves known in any way,
: so they don't count. As for how they see the
: King, most Romanians don't know anything
: either about their past or about their
: present, their opinions come and go. People
: who twenty years ago were chasing His
: Majesty across Romania's motorways to expel
: him now bow and curtsey. History is full of
: surprises, it's no good pretending we see
: where it's heading.

: Probably not one bit. The majority of
: Romanians, especially those in official
: positions like Parliament, view King Michael
: as a living piece of their past, not their
: future. Most Romanians probably do not know
: (or care) who Michael's children are.

: Fascinating. How much more different would
: this event have been if he had been
: accompanied by a popular heir, equally
: married with children?
