Thank you Eric.
Two members of the family dying in car accidents in such a short period was indeed tragic.

: Archduchess Xenia of Austria indeed died in a
: car accident in Belgium, while her husband
: Archduke Rudolph was severely wounded and I
: think that he was at the wheel.
: If my memory is right, Archduke Simeon was
: injured too.
:
: Archduke Johannes was hit by a car while he
: was bicycling and died.
: Again here, if my memory doesn't fool me,
: Archduke Johannes was asked for something to
: bring with him by his brother Archduke
: Simeon, who felt very guilty afterwards.

: It was probably a confusion with Adss Xenia,
: wife of ADke Rudolph.
:
: ADss Xenia died in Belgium in 1968 in a car
: accident.
:
: ADKs Rudolph and Xenia's youngest son, ADk
: Johannes, also died in Belgium in 1975 in a
: car accident.
:
: Since he was just 13, was he in a car
: involved in any accident (who was at the
: wheel) or was he ran over by a car ?
:
: Can someone elucidate on the deaths of these
: 2 members of the IF ?

: HIRH was buried at the side of his wife
: Anna-Eugénie (née Princess of Arenberg) who
: died in 1997.
:
: According to the article, Anna-Eugenie died
: in 1968 due to a traffic accident.
: But the Online Gotha mentions 1997 like you
: Barbara.
: Was it 1968 or 1997?
: And was her death caused by a traffic
: accident?
:
:
:
: The Archduchess died 1997 in Mexico, and I
: found no hint of a car accident. I have no
: idea how the newspaper (which is usually a
: reliable one) comes to write the spouse of
: the deceased died 1968 in a car accident...
: . I can only imagine, that they're not too
: familiar with noble/royal/imperial issues .
