After the death of his daughter and given the state of his health at the time I wonder if George was physically up to the task of fathering another child?

: Grandduchess Catherine Pavlovna joined her
: brother tsar Alexander I on his visit to
: London. She was a widow and considered
: George as a possible spouse (his desire to
: divorce Caroline was well known throughout
: Europe). She however did not like him and
: meddled in his plans for the marriage of his
: daughter Charlotte of Wales to William of
: Orange (later king Willem II). During the
: Viennese Congres she met her cousin Wilhelm
: of Wurtemberg and they fell in love. He
: divorced his Bavarian wife (who went on to
: marry the Emperor of Austria) and the couple
: married a few weeks before her youngest
: sister Anna married Charlotte's discarded
: fiancé Willem of the Netherlands.
:
: I wish George had married the Grand Duchess
: andm made the most dazzling match in British
: history. Certainly, he was not too lazy to
: consider remarriage. He took a keen interest
: in little Victoria of Kent's half-sister,
: Feodora of Leiningen. The Duchess was
: disgusted.
