I had read that the original Will stipulating that the head of the house must marry equally was more of a financial arrangement than designating who the head of the house is (something the German courts have no jurisdiction over). Although Georg Friedrich is recognized as head of the house, I remember reading that the stipulation that the inheritor of the estate be married equally could only be ordered for a few generations and that Georg Friedrich will be able to marry whomever he chooses without violating the Will. I may be wrong but that is what I remember. |
: His entire status as head of the family is the
: result of the equal/acceptable marriage of
: his parents and the fact that his father's
: elder brother married a commoner so i guess
: he needs to marry a woman of royal or noble

: The Prussian Royal and Imperial families has
: always been one of my favorites to read and
: learn about. I haven't heard too much lately
: about the head of the house Prince Georg
: Friedrich. Does anyone have any current news
: or information on him? I thought I remember
: hearing he was dating someone that was from
: an aristocratic family but I'm not sure
: about that. Is he still under pressure to
: marry someone of equal or acceptable status?
