I know people call themselves prince romanoff but the title does not legally exist to my knowledge.
As for Maria Wladimirovna using the title of Grand Duchess that is not strange and equals the use of the title crownprince by Alexander of Serbia or Nicholas of Montenegro.
As the present Head of the former reigning dynasty she could also call herself Tsarina or Empress like her father and grandfather before her she has opted for the title grandduchess.
