On P.Theroff Online Gotha, the marriage of AD Michael of H.Tuscany is not considered morganatic, like f.i., his brothers Johann or Max.
Is Eva v.Hoffmann a noble lady or did he get either AD Otto or the head of the Tuscany house permission to marry and keep his rights ?

: The last Duke of Teschen's marriage was
: considered morganatic by the Head of the
: House of Austria. However, his daughters
: call themselves Princesses of Hungary and
: claim they were permitted such titles (but
: by whom has not been made clear to me.)
: There may be another poster here with more
: details. From Otto's point of view they are
: merely Countesses von Habsburg (although
: both use their married names).
:
: This is a very interesting bit of
: information. Perhaps the potential
: princesses have the text of some sort of
: decree regarding not being members of, for
: instance, the Archhouse of Austia which they
: take only to mean the titles Princess and
: Archduchess of Austria and the style of
: Imperial Highness. They would be wrong,
: however, if it went along those lines but
: the house is specifically defined as
: Austria, Hungary, Bohemia, etc...
:
: There are morganatic marriages in the
: Tuscany line. And questions have arose there
: over who is the authority over what
: marriages are equal and what ones are not
: and what titles the affected people should
: have. The current accepted philosphy seems
: to be to defer to Archduke Otto who is the
: head of the Austria-proper line.
:
: Interesting but sad (only my personal
: opinion). I've read things here and there
: about Tuscany's subjugation under Austria in
: matters of house membership, etc. It should
: be possible to be a Habsburg prince or
: princess of Tuscany without being an
: archduke or archduchess of Austria, etc.
: Your website is also very interesting. It
: shows the archduke I refer to with comital
: issue. Presumably his wife, whose title is
: not explicitly given, is also a countess and
: not an archduchess or princess.
:
: This is slightly unrelated, but aren't there
: a couple of Habsburgs of the Tuscan line who
: bear the title prince(ss) of Florence? If
: so, what style do they carry?
