What about German titles? Is there any equivalent to "Queen Mother" in the kingdom of Bavaria, Prussia, etc.? If it came to that, I'm wondering about dowager queens in general.
What you say about French titles is interesting: if it came to that, I believe the style of Serene Highness is a direct translation of a French style.
HOWEVER, it's actually equivalent the German style of "Durchlaut." For this reason, it's actually a lower style than just plain Highness -- for reasons that the latter is equivalent to the German style "Hoheit."
