Leaving aside the whole debate over what exactly constitutes royalty (I believe the complication has not so much to do with titles or styles -- "HSH Prince(ss) of Monaco/Liechtenstein ... HH Prince(ss) or Duke/Duchess of Hesse-, Saxe ..." -- as it has to do with the fact that members of the princely dynasties of Monaco and Liechtenstein, although technically belonging to reigning houses, lived as foreign nobles. Sovereignty should have granted them "equal" status to all the other European dynasties; it's just that this was not how they identified themselves), doesn't one have the obvious fact that Princess Caroline's younger daughter belongs to a formerly reigning kingdom?
If nothing else, Princess Alexandra could count as an example of European ROYALTY with American antecedents -- i.e. the famed Grace Kelly.
