The comment about the Duke of Edinburgh is utter nonsense. He was baptised according to the rites of the Greek Orthodox church, but he was not raised in the Orthodox church. He grew up going to the Anglican church. He never took part in the Orthodox church life .. In 1947, he said he always had "regarded himself as an Anglican. After all, his guardian was his uncle george, the Marquess of Milford Haven. He attended Gordonstoun and he lived with his maternal grandmother, Victoria Milford Haven. He had no real experience of the Orthodox church. He considered himself Anglican but had to become a member of the Church of England because he was officially a member of the Greek church, even though he was not raised in the church.
