I understand what you mean, about the lack of impact. Although it does state that it's been X number of months after Ultimatum in the opening scenes of Ultimate Comics Spider-Man, it just doesn't...gel all that well.
Maybe there will be more original characters afterwards. After all, we had Geldoff, and he wasn't recieved very well - To be honest though, he was a crap character.
Shroud is a barely used 616 character, and when was the last time we saw Mysterio, honestly?
I know what you're saying, but it's not that bad, I don't think. I'm just bothered they killed Dr Strange.

: The first is that it doesn't feel like
: Ultimatum happened in Ultimate Comics
: Avengers and Spider-Man. Yes, certain
: characters are absent and Peter Parker's job
: and love interest changed but really there's
: nos ense that the world has changed. Entire
: countries have been erased from the face of
: the Earth and a major portion of New York
: City was washed away and it just feels like
: business as usual...
:
: The other is that the creators said over and
: over that they were done with just featuring
: Ultimate versions of 616 characters. First
: two new characters in Ultimate Comics
: Spider-Man? Ultimate Mysterio and Ultimate
: Shroud. Villain of Ultimate Comics
: Avengers? Ultimate Red Skull.
