Really? The Blob is doing what now? Magneto snapping necks? Really? Nothing is in character! I find it really hard to believe that Magneto would do this. And when did Blob start snacking on people? Not just these two, it seems like most of the characters are a bit off. Hawkeye is a step away from being the Ultimate Bullseye. Stark is like a cliché version of his 616 counterpart. When did that happen? Thor was better as a hippy activist (possible nut case) from Ultimates 1 & 2. This version talks all Shakespearean-like. Consistency, it’s not just a word, it has meaning.
I understand that Ultimatum is supposed to be this huge status quo shake up, but I think it will be hard for the Ultimate universe to recover from this. It does seem kind of like “Crisis on Infinite Earths”. Wipe away what’s not working and retool what’s left. That’s bad writing. Deal with your mistakes and write better stories.

: As much as I dislike Loeb's writing, here are
: some of my thoughts...
:
: * The art by Finch was top-notch (ie.
: awesome!).
:
: * The dialogue wasn't that bad (in Loeb
: standards).
:
: * My biggest beef is that 'millions' are
: supposedly dead, but not a single
: non-superhero body can be seen in any panel.
:
: * I actually kinda liked that panel with
: Janet. Very graphic, very harsh. One of the
: few moments, along with the last
: Xavier/Magneto panel, which shocked me.
:
: * Overall, a better issue than the first.
:
:
: STORY: 6/10
: ART: 10/10
: OVERALL: 8/10

: It's a bad couple of months to be called the
: Wasp, it seems. I just wish they ahdn't
: seen fit to have the final fate so graphic
: even if it was just one panel. I was
: looking forward to this series despite my
: general dislike for Loeb comics but this
: issue has me thinking I don't want to read
: further. Besides the Wasp thing, I thought
: the art was amateurish compared to artist's
: usual stellar work and it doesn't seem to me
: that Ultimate Spider-Man, the one
: consistently good Ultimate title, has much
: of a chance of surviving as even relatively
: the same book after this.
