Hmmmm... reading it, I didn't realize that those characters may have possibly died. Like most comic book stories, I thought it was just yet another danger and that's that.
As for the seriousness of the matter, I just didn't feel it. Doom being shocked by... snow?! That kind of confused me.
And Reed being the intelligent guy that he is attacking Namor like that... what was that about? (Yes, I know the history).
It would have been better had Loeb spent some time, for example, showing the people of Latveria BEFORE the event, going about their every day lives, then BAM.
Same thing with New York. It seems that only the heroes were affected (where were the civilians?), and aside from the Tony comment on many people being dead, I just didn't see them. So for all I know, the impact and seriousness of the event just wasn't there.
Dialogue was typical Loeb. Not his worst, but also not Oscar worthy.
Art is top-notch as usual. Well done Finch. Can't recall my opinion in inks and colors, so the fact that I was overall impressed with the art means that they did a good job as well.
