So I just got done reading Ultimate X-men 94 and it was...GREAT!!!!!
It was a very interesting twist and it has so much potential. I can't wait for the next issue...as for what follows...that's spoilers if you don't want to know them don't read on...

This issue was directly following the Apocalypse storyline with Jean as the Phoenix. I love that they didn't do a story about how the X-men had to hunt down Phoenix...because...she is back. Jean returned...nothing was really mentioned about it except she is very different, and the X-men mainly Cyclops have vocalized that they are scared of her.
The stories main focus is Colosus...who is my fav character. It does a back story on him and tells how he came to be an agent of the russian mafia. Apparently his father found him in bed with another man and wanted nothing to do with him after that so he took an offer from some high up mafia guy.
It also revealed that he is on the drug "banshee" which is a mutant growth hormone. Without it Colosus would not be super strong...only able to produce metal skin. Without it he couldn't lift his arms.
I loved this issue because it really flushed out the character of Collosus and his motivations. He is still dating Northstar, which I find to be amazing. Alpha Flight is introduced and they are all on the drug 'banshee' so they pretty much kick the crap out of the X-men. Also Jubilee is a member...it frick'n rocked. They kidnap Northstar and Colossus tries to stop them and can't. Jean/Phoenix totally reads his thoughts without his consent and dissension erupts in the X-men.
She reveals that Colosus is on drugs, and then she tells him he is expelled. He doesn't care he wants to get Northstar back from Alpha Flight. As he is leaving Cyclops tells him he wants to help. He then tells Cyclops he has help...and introduces him to his X-men. Dazzler, Nightcrawler, Angel, and Rogue...all of which have now taken 'banshee'. Rogue looks like she has copied Colosus powers as well as Angel's which is a good look for her. Dazzler has weird energy blades coming off her arms. Nightcrawler looks a little different...and angel has the head of an eagle and giant wings.
Its totally shaping up to be a great story. Ultimate never ceases to amaze me. If you have not checked out this title...check it out...it is amazing!!!
I love the idea that a gay character is now in charge of the X-men and his relationship with Northstar is equal to Jean and Scott's relationship. LOVED IT!
