Ultimate Batman: I'd leave the Joe Chill, movie premiere murder origin but I'd have Bruce adopted by his mother's brother Alfred Pennyworth, the business tycoon who helped Bruce's father build his fortune. Bruce is a mess and Alfred asks what he wants. Bruce says he wants revenge on his parents' murderer and to be a force that keeps other kids like him having criminals destroy their lives. Alfred then takes Bruce all over the world to learn the skills to be what he wants until the story starts and Bruce feels he's ready to start his crusade and look for the killer. That's when Alfred finally tells him Joe Chill died the same night as his parents and asks if Bruce still wants to be that force he's learned to be. That's when the famed bat crashes through thewindow and Bruce again takes it as an omen. This Bruce is the real persona and Batman the mask, a control freak prepared for anything with scarcely any of the Bat-dickery O'Neil foisted on the character.
I'd have Ultimate Robin's origin completely divorced from Batman's and we start with him in action, not knowing who the teen fighting crime in costume is. At school the suspects are Dick Grayson, recently orphaned circus acrobat who is being raised by former circus folk friends of his family, Jason Todd, a kid bounced around with foster families with a chip on his shoulder, and Tim Drake, who has just lost his mother to organized crime. Eventually it would come out all three are going out as Robin but Tim decides it's something he wants to do but feels he's not quite ready (and when he does feel ready he comes back as Ultimate Nightwing)and Jason decides that he needs to be more brutal and becomes the Red Hood. Robin later becomes Batman's sidekick when he gets in over his head, endangering the couple caring for him, and moves in with Bruce as his ward to learn from him how to be the best super-hero ever.
