I agree that MAX is best for adult writing Chaykin but they've given the sense the last few years that they don't want that with this series. 'Course, you did point out that JMS ignored the switch eventually so who knows? This is also the comics climate where heads get punched off on panel and you get to see a teen hero eaten alive so you could get your wish sans MAX. I just know I'll be picking this series up. I don't like JMS' work (I read a friend's copies of the first series and never made it to the last issue he owened) but I have very, very fond memories of American Flagg and even that odd sci fi one shot Chaykin did for Marvel way back.
