Supreme Power is in the top 3 of my all time favorite comic books EVER.
Now I know nothing of Chaykin's writing (just that I'm not a big fan of his art). As for the artist on the new series (forgot his name), he ain't bad, but I guess I'm just biased towards Gary Frank because he's been on it since day one and has done a splendid job.
I'll still buy this though.
However, Chaykin worries me when he says that he wanted to introduce 10 new characters. That was the downfall of Ultimate X-Men and would definitely be the downfall of this series had it happened. Centering the storyline around Hyperion was the best thing that Straczynski did.
Let's hope for the best!
