So, I hated this comic for reasons I will explain below, and this is my opinions, you dont have to agree with them.
Black Panther Doesn't talk much - New intrique? No, Not really. Intrigue would imply he actually does something worth investing in the character. Theres no intrigue to a guy punching a bad guy and then wandering off off-panel. Thats lazy writing. He didn't get a line at all.
The new Hawkeye with a deathwish - Because thats such an original idea. No, actually, considering that it's almost a cliche now. Interesting how theres such an enourmous departure from Death Wish to being "Token Wise-racker character" with his comments about valk being hot, or stupid wise cracks. This isn't the Hawkeye we know at all, this is barely even a character beyond a stereotype.
Thor's voice and hammer have changed to Marvel Thor's, which is fine, but I liked that Ultimate Thor was more 'modern'. - Which makes me Wonder - Did he even READ Ultimates? I don't think he did. The Editors should at least catch this, not let it slide past. This was an appalling note. THis is basically a new Character shoehorned into Thors place.
Last point. Was the doctor who tried to save
Wanda at the end Ultimate Dr. Donald Blake? - Looks that way. If they make Thor Donald Blakes "Sideline" then that'd be stupid. Thor was a Nurse before he was a damned mental case God, not some Shakespearing Personnality changing Doctor.
Everybody hated Loeb's explicit direct
mention of the incest. You know what? Millar
introduced the whole concept in the first
place. - Yes because it was only a hint of Incest, not blatant out and out saying it. It was supposed to be subtle, and on the fringes, because thats what peoples perceptions of it were. In millars mind it probably WASN'T incest, it was just meant to look that way.
Theres really too much to cover. I hated this comic to the point where i threw it in the Bin after I willed myself to finish it. I've never read a comic i hated with that much passion, but now i have a new Bench mark. It may seem unfair, but there was nothing good in it for me.
