
Posted by seeker on 8/10/2007, 3:06 am, in reply to "Answer" I am not saying Ultimates does not have its highlights. Like many I found Millar's take on Ultimate Thor an interesting change of pace. I also don't think heroes would or should be flawless. I do think that Millar went to far with some of the Ultimates. I know to some people grittyness equals realism, but what some forget is while there is that part of the world there is also brighter. I know many people liked the Ulimates and thought it was the greatest work in a decade. I just can't get behind that. It is fairly good as an action piece, but lacked a deeper level or had one to many plot holes. This may just be one thing we have to agree to disagree about. I am still looking forward to Ultimates 3.

Yes, I think everybody has something they would rather not have the public know about. You, me, the mail man, etc. However, I still think Millar in some cases went to far. Take Iron Man for instance. In the main MU he is a playboy that has often had an alcohol problem. In Ultimate Millar exaggerates his womanizing and he regularly goes into battle plastered.
