Posted by The One on 8/3/2007, 3:08 am I've always been an individual issues guy. The primary reason is probably that Trades almost never ever go up in value, meanwhile individual issues could go up. Both obviously have the risk of going down in price. My collection of "30 Days of Night" can be sold for a decent price. Look at the issue where Cap was killed as well. Look at Wolverine: Origin (the first one by Jenkins, not the crap that Daniel Way is writing now). Believe it or not, I had to buy my copy of Ultimate Spider-Man #1 for $140 several years ago. I know a lot of people like reading complete arcs, but to be honest, when Ultimates came out, the 2 month wait between issues just increased my anticipation ten-fold. I COULD NOT WAIT for the next issue. Had I read it in trade format, that "wait period" would not have existed, thus minimizing any anticipation. Patience is often rewarded, don't you think? (Except for that awful Jeph Loeb arc on Wolverine.) Thoughts?

Just wanted to get thoughts from those on this board on their opinion of Trades versus Individual Issues.
