Posted by The One on 4/13/2007, 3:24 pm, in reply to "Re: newuniversal direction" My advantage is that I know nothing of the old "New Universe" series, so I'm approaching this series with fresh eyes. Not as good as Strazynski's stuff, but still an excellent read. My only hope is that Ellis doesn't add weird unrealistic elements (not that the series is completely unrealistic in itself). But what I mean is that I don't want to see armies of cyborg wolves with wings, stuff like that. And now that you mention it Fred, I had the first issue of DP-7 as a kid and loved it back then! Not sure if I would like it to be a part of the "newuniversal" universe though.

Same here, I don't care much as long as I'm reading a well written story.

: Anyone have any idea where this is going?
: My
: Ellis knowledge isn't the greatest. Between
: his Excalibur, Thor, and X-Force and then
: last year's Nextwave, I read zero Ellis. I
: have no idea how his storytelling goes
: generally. Does anyone more familiar have a
: feel for where he might be going with all
: this? It's been a cool ride so far and to
: be honest, I don't care if he's making it up
: as he goes along so long as it stays this
: cool.
:
: Okay, it's official. If newuniversal is
: going nowhere I don't care. The debut of
: Psi-Hawk (if I recall properly) is great and
: I'm hoping we gets to see Ultimate versions
: of DP-7 next. That series was second to
: Starbrand for New Universe series that I
: bought.
