Posted by Spidercat on 3/31/2007, 12:45 am, in reply to "His review of Ultimate Spider-Man #107 [minor spoilers]" From a writer perspective, I think Bendis is ignoring a lot of UXM material -- which I'm actually okay with as long as there isn't a Kitty at the X-Mansion and a Kitty at Midtown High (THEN the muscle would be fried). From a fan perspective, I feel that Professor X privately asked Kitty to leave following the events of USM #105 when she blew up at him, but Kitty hid this from the other X-Men (Storm and Iceman) by claiming she wanted to leave the Xavier Institute. It's kind of sad really -- 616 Kitty developed so many good friendships with the X-Men (particularly Nightcrawler, Storm and Colossus) but because the Ultimate counterparts are so different in temperment, age, and sexual orientation, she can't seem to do the same in the Ultimate-verse. I hope she and Peter can reconcile -- she could really use a friend right now. :

: 1) Did Kitty lie about why she left the
: X-mansion here or when she had the talk with
: Iceman in X-Men 79? I know they can be
: reconciled with some effort but I just was
: thinking about Hawkman's continuity and that
: muscle is fried for a few weeks.
: 2) Again, nothing realy Ultimate about
: Daredevil.
:
: 3) Has Ultimate Doctor Strange appeared
: before? Nothing Ultimate there either
: unless you count TV appearances and being a
: bit younger as Ultimate. I was hoping he'd
: be as radically altered as Morbius but I
: guess that was too much to hope for.
:
: I give it 3 out of 5 stars. There were at
: least five books out this week that I
: enjoyed more and USM is usually in the top
: two position with me.
