Posted by Fred on 3/29/2007, 1:25 am To be honest, this is one of the worst X-titles being published and the weakest Kirkman efforts I have ever read. This issue is still my favorite of fourteen books I bought today. The beautiful, static art of Yanick Paquette was wonderfully suited to an issue that had no action in it but I am de lighted the man is only scheduled to draw one of the next three issues. Is it just me or is Marvel intent on throwing totally inappropriate artists on this title? X-Factor finally found an appropriate (fairly) regular artist so why can't UXM? Oh, and as weak Kirkman's efforts feel to me, especially as much as I like the other books he does? The man does know this cast in and out. Not one thing done by any of them felt out of character. He might not be able to come up with a truly exciting story (to my taste, anyway) but the dialog is always spot on and people's actions rarely ring false. In a week that had drek like Green Lantern out, is it any wonder I thought this book was best?

First of all, who didn't see that last page coming? Didn't mean that I didn't like it or that it wasn't well done. It just seemed where it was all going.
