well keep in mind the Gael is just a henchman, so I'm not going to put the same effort I put into other characters, who are designed to hold their own story arcs on their own. I mean he had two appearances in the 616 universe. he is mainly a default explosive expert who works for others, like Ultimate Owl (I see him as the opposite of Kingpin, a hands psychotic mob boss who represents chaos the same way the Kingpin represents order.)
As for Matador, I just wanted a joke character, to have a change of pace from the child killers and cult leaders, inject some fun and silliness into UDD.
