I just wanted to know what had been said. I couldn't understand it, whether because of typos or my own dyslaexia.
: He has a point. Creators keep talking about
: storylines having to be certain amounts of
: issues. Look at how much filler was in the
: Collective storyline in New Avengers. In
: the past that story could have been told
: fully in two issues. Now for the trades, it
: has to go one way too long with very little
: happening per installment. Marvel risks
: alienating the harcore readers who never
: went away in pandering to the trade crowd
: exclusively. A little pandering is fine but
: the boom in trades will turn out to be a
: blip like the other booms and Marvel will
: wish they hadn't alienated the monthly
: reader when it's all done.

: What?

: One of the things this series and Civil War
: prove it that it's the book trade that is
: important to Marvel. In past years Marvel
: never missed a month. They had both fill ins
: and guest artists. Now they want it to look
: good for the trade and don't care if the
: comics are late.

: I had the impression that Ultimates 2 #11
: WAS
: the conclusion.
:
: I won't spoil it for anyone who has not read
: it yet, but it looked to me as if Fury, Cap
: and Jan had taken that step.
:
: Hulk and Betty have a new chapter open.
:
: For the most part, what's done is not so
: pretty. But it's very Ultimate.

: Thanks, I appreciate you're taking the time

: Not out yet.
:
: Nothing really spoiled in the annual.
:
: Issue 12 should be out shortly.
