Me, on the other hand, I love it the way it is. I've always been a big fan of realism in comics (not that it's every truly achievable), but I like to read my stories imagining that this could be happening in the real world (eg. such as the Hulk killing innocent people). For what you're asking for, I feel there are a lot of comics out there that satisfy the more 'fantasy' need (but for some bizarre reason, I can't think of any now! Maybe all comics are darker in tone nowadays!).

You're probably right.

: But it will be drawn and written with a veneer
: of faux realism and will show that there is
: no such thing as a true hero, in keeping
: with the tone of both Ultimates series. I'm
: hoping Ultimates 3 features a little more
: fantasy and a lot more people acting heroic.

: I think the ending will be predictable.
:
: - Thor is revealed to be a God, and helps
: save the day.
: - Hulk destroys.
: - Hulk and Abomination go at it, with Hulk
: winning.
: - Captain America and Captain Middle East go
: at it, ending in a draw.
: - All superheroes, including Captains Europe
: and the X-Men, help fight off the enemy.
: - Hank Pym may die.
: - Fury lives (of course).
