Yes, but it depends on the breeds. Many horses qualify for two or more registries. For example, many Paints are also pintos, many palominos are also quarter horses. The American Warmblood Society registers any breed of horse as long as it passes inspection. The Pinto registry actually will register any breed of horse whose color qualifies, but it must be registered with another breed. Every breed registry has different requirements.
