I am 12 weeks pregnant and my OB has told me that the ultrasound revealed that the baby's neck fold was thicker than normal, possibly indicating Down Syndrome. I love my baby regardless and termination is absolutely not an option. My question is will it benefit the baby or my family in anyway do all the non-invasive screening available to find out how likely it is that the baby does have down-sydrome. Part of me thinks it will help us prepare for it and not just wonder for seven months, but a lot of Christian bioethicists seem to be against any screening. Is that just because it often leads to termination? Since we will not do that, any advice?
